Hubble telescope discovered 'ghostly smiley' between the universe
In a quest to better understand the process of new stars in the universe, NASA scientists discovered a 'mysterious smiley face' staring backwards.
Images obtained by NASA show that the remarkable 'power' can help scientists study the formation of stars in distant galaxies with extremely high resolution images.
The image of 'ghost smile' in the universe was recorded by NASA's Hubble telescope.
This 'smile' is said to be a arc of light bent by gravity combined with the light from two other stars unknowingly forming a ghostly smiley between the universe.
NASA added that the arc shape of light could pass through an extremely large object before the Hubble telescope was captured, so it was distorted and stretched out. The spooky smiley face was discovered in the SDSS galaxy cluster J0952 + 3434.
Currently, by analyzing the different brightness, size and formation rates of the universe, scientists hope to learn more about the processes that lead to the formation of a star. Newborn.
"Researching 'star nurseries' in different galaxies will provide information about the formation of stars at different times and spaces in the universe ," NASA said.
Launched in orbit in 1990, the Hubble telescope has made outstanding contributions to humanity's exploration of the universe with about 1.3 million observations. The Hubble Space Telescope weighs 12 tons, operating on Earth's orbit at a height of 610 km. It rotates around the Earth in 97 minutes and 15 times a day. Hubble telescope works with solar energy.
Earlier in October, one of the Hubble telescopes suffered a fault, forcing scientists to put it in safe mode and only operate the most basic functions.
