IBM has just filed a lawsuit in the US federal court, accusing Amazon of violating five of its ownership of technology on retail website Amazon.com.

Also according to IBM, the technology ownership that Amazon used above has been developed and applied by the world's leading computer manufacturers many years ago. Accordingly, these technologies help control the interaction mechanism between products and customers, publish ads and store data.

Some of these patents have been registered since the 1980s, when IBM developed Prodigy's platform technology, the first online service from IBM and its partner Sears, Roebuck & Co.

Hundreds of companies have been granted similar licenses, but Amazon is not among those companies, according to senior vice president in charge of intellectual products IBM, John E. Kelly III. Since 2002, IBM has negotiated several times with Amazon but the result is not successful, making it reluctant to file a lawsuit.
