Long-term fatigue syndrome in women

You are always sluggish, your eyes are heavy when you just wake up? During the morning you yawned, in the afternoon the situation was even worse than having a nap? It is a sign of prolonged fatigue syndrome.

The manifestation of this syndrome is easy to see: You are always tired. When I go to work, I feel tired during the day, and at night you are also lazy when you eat rice, then fall asleep when your favorite movie on TV is in the most fascinating part. See a doctor, the doctor says you have no illness, just rest more than you will. And you're really worried because knowing that taking a break doesn't help, you sleep at least 10 hours a day.

Fatigue is an early sign of many diseases. That may be the most obvious sign of depression, cancer, insomnia, anemia, low blood pressure, viral infection, lupus, multiple sclerosis, arthritis, inner ear imbalance, low blood glucose. , hypertension, heart disease . But prolonged fatigue is an inexplicable exhaustion fatigue, lasting over 6 months and not caused by any potential physical illness.

Patients with the above syndrome often present at the same time with symptoms such as sore throat, salivary gland swelling, mild fever, muscle pain and sometimes confusion. These symptoms are present at times when there is no discomfort for the diagnosis. Because fatigue is a very common symptom, doctors often assume that people who are too tired are due to their work or from depression.

Regarding the cause of prolonged fatigue, there is a theory that it is a prolonged specific immune dysfunction that begins with viral infection. It is suspected that the epstein-ban virus, coxsackie is the culprit of the syndrome, but has not been proven to be reliable.

Some studies suggest that major stresses such as divorce, loss of job, loss of relatives . are the origin of prolonged fatigue syndrome, due to stress weakening the immune system.

A new US study has initially brought a bit of light to this disease . Scientists measured blood pressure of 23 people with prolonged fatigue and found that 22 people had abnormalities in regulating blood pressure: Their hearts slowed at the right time and should have been beating faster. For example, when you lift a heavy object, your heart must beat harder to pump blood throughout your body. But in patients with prolonged fatigue, the opposite is true.

The second strange point is that when patients are inclined at a 70 degree angle to the floor to assume they have been standing for a long time, most patients have a drop in blood pressure. They feel dizzy, weak, nauseous and tired, listless for days afterwards. Researchers believe that if the above low blood pressure response occurs several times a day, it can cause constant exhaustion.

However, most patients in this study were successfully treated with drugs, increasing their dietary salts and water to regulate blood pressure. 9 people have completely recovered. 7 people feel less tired.

According to experts, you may experience prolonged fatigue syndrome if you have the following signs :

- Suddenly tired constantly, persistent and unexplainable.
- Even if I have a rest, I don't get tired.
- Difficulty concentrating and memorizing to the extent that it negatively affects working capacity.
- Pain of lymph nodes in the neck or under the arm.
- Muscle aches but no swelling or redness.
- A severe headache.
- Waking up after a long sleep does not feel more alert.

The current treatment is to relieve symptoms. For example, taking anti-inflammatory, analgesic drugs to treat headache and muscle pain; taking anti-depressant drugs to lift the mind; exercise, physical therapy, breathing exercises . to relax muscles and spirit . Persistently doing so for a while, the disease will be relieved and at all times not known.
