Newborn babies are saved by cow's heart

A boy born with 2 life-threatening heart holes survived miraculously by a cow heart.

When Ruben Weber-Jackson was born last year in Yorkshire, England, his parents thought his son was completely healthy. Mrs. Petra, 29, Ruben's mother said, when she was born, she looked very rosy and didn't have any expression that made people nervous.

Ruben is described as a docile, easygoing, and sleepy boy. However, in a photo, the boy showed a swollen eyes and slightly pale lips.

Ruben's time was 2 weeks, 2 days old, her mother began to recognize her unusual breathing. The boy was taken to Hull Hospital immediately for an examination.

The results showed that Ruben had two holes in the heart and a narrowed artery. This means, the boy's blood circulation is impaired, causing him to have unusual breathing patterns and pale lips.

According to the doctor's orders, Ruben was quickly undergone surgery to correct a serious heart attack. In the second surgery, doctors used tissue extracted from the heart of a cow to save her life.

This procedure of patching the heart with this cow's heart tissue has helped Ruben survive, at least through his recently celebrated 1-year-old birthday. The danger is over and the boy can now breathe as usual. Her parents are filled with hope that her son will have a chance to grow up normally like other children from now on.
