A woman from Zhanggang Village, Dengzhou City, central province of Henan, China, is preparing to remove the horn on her head.
This woman was deaf and dumb so no one knew her exact name but the locals still called her Yanv (meaning dumb woman in Chinese).
In early 2008, a horn of the size of nails grew on Yanv's left left. The family took her to the hospital for removal. But 6 months after surgery, the horn grows back.
By early 2011, the horn was 20cm long and Mrs. Yanv was afraid to go out. Family members had to take her to a hospital in Beijing for treatment.
According to doctors, this is a rare case in medical history, the test results show that the horn is benign and they will conduct surgical removal in the near future.
