Rescue 5 turtles in Da Nang

The Asian Turtle Conservation Program (ATP) has just delivered five turtles from Danang to the safety of Cuc Phuong Turtle Conservation Center. A participant of a turtle training course organized by ATP and Cuc Phuong National Park learned that a Danang resident owns 5 rare turtles. He persuaded people to deliver turtles to the Rescue Center.

A participant of a turtle training course organized by ATP and Cuc Phuong National Park learned that a Danang resident owns 5 rare turtles. He persuaded people to deliver turtles to the Rescue Center.

Mr. Hoang Van Ha, ATP officer, said that five turtles including four striped necks and a black-backed turtle box back to Cuc Phuong Turtle Conservation Center on May 2 were in good health.

Striped neck turtles with the scientific name Mauremys sinensis and the black-backed box turtle called Cuora amboinensis , are both rare and precious animals in the list of animals to be preserved.

"The successful transfer of these turtles thanks to the persuasion and propaganda of students, showing that our training courses have brought positive results in people's awareness, contributing to the conservation of turtles. and other animals in Vietnam, " said Ha.
