Snow moon, eclipse and comet - all will appear together this weekend

Very often many astronomical events again

Sometimes many astronomical events are "reuniting" at the same time, so make sure you don't miss them.

This week, astronomers all over the world will be prepared to see a series of very interesting phenomena.

Snow moon - also known as the full moon in February , will appear in the morning of February 11 (Vietnam time) . The origin of the name "snow moon" is very simple, because in February it was considered the most snowy month in the US.

Snow moon or also called the full moon in February.

At the same time, the half-moon eclipse also happened, covering the dark part of the Moon. In the case of cloudy sky, the moon will turn dark silver during the eclipse.

In Vietnam, we can admire this event.

This amazing phenomenon will last about 4 hours and 19 minutes , and luckily we can observe it in Vietnam . The half-moon eclipse will begin at 5:34 am on February 11 and peak about 1 hour later before ending at 9h53.

As for astronomers in Europe and America, the midnight lunar eclipse will appear a little earlier on the evening of February 10.

So what is the view of the lunar eclipse? Be prepared, because only a few hours later, Comet 45P - or New Year Comet , will move through the Earth at a near distance.

We can observe this comet phenomenon on the morning of February 11 (Vietnam time) towards the constellation Hercules. It will also move through many other constellations in the remaining days of February, but then comets are farther away from Earth.

Every 5 years, 45P comet will "find its way" back into the Solar System.

Comet 45P moves quite quickly with 9 degrees per day. Every five years, it will "find its way" back into the Solar System. Thus, if we miss this event, we can only wait for it to return in 2022.

This comet is very recognizable with a bright green head. However, you may need binoculars if you want to observe, because it is relatively difficult to see with the naked eye.
