The boring life can cause us to die early
One study found that people with monotonous lives were twice as likely to die from heart disease and stroke as normal people.
Telegraph said, medical experts of the University of London, England, tracked 7,524 public servants for more than 25 years to learn the relationship between daily life and longevity. These people are aged 35-55. The team asked them about the level of boredom in work and private life.
The results showed that those who felt monotonous life tended to be infected with unhealthy habits - such as smoking, drinking alcohol. Those habits reduce their lifespan. Specifically, nearly 40% of people who live monotonously are at risk of dying early. Their ability to die from heart disease and stroke is twice the average of society.
The study also found that 10% of the respondents felt bland life, in which women accounted for a larger proportion than men. Young workers and low-income workers are more likely to fall into a depressed mood.
Martin Shipley, a member of the research team, said: 'We found evidence that there was a link between heart disease and boredom. Therefore, people with boring jobs should look for other hobbies to dispel depressed moods, not alcohol and cigarettes. '
Graham Price, a British psychologist, thinks that people with boring lives should improve their spiritual life by thinking more about helping others. Thus they will feel life becomes more fun and meaningful.
