Swedish scientists have discovered that a combination of tomato genes and anti-AIDS drugs can destroy cancer cells.

This finding has important implications for cancer treatment with gene therapy.

The announcement by scientists at Lund University in Sweden said the tomato gene is very active in helping build and repair the genome but it is not enough to destroy cancer cells.

After several trials of different drugs, scientists finally discovered, a combination of tomato gene and AZT anti-AIDS can be very effective when it comes to killing cancer cells.
