Scientists have discovered the cause of pain when studying some strange cases in Pakistan. There are 6 cases of people who are capable of suffering, such as biting their tongue, breaking their fingertips, fracturing . without feeling pain.

The above cases were born in three families with a close relationship in Pakistan. The latest case is a Pakistani boy. This boy can pierce his knife through his arm, walk on hot coal without feeling pain.

Although he did not feel pain, it did not mean he could not be injured or " immortal ". According to the latest news, this boy just died from falling from the roof right on his 14th birthday!

The strangeness of those who are not physically hurt is what motivates a group of scientists to study, to understand the cause.

It is a group of British and Pakistani scientists from the University of Cambridge and University College London. The research was funded by the Wellcome Trust, a research fund to improve human and animal health.

When studying these cases, scientists discovered a genetically modified form called SCN9A. This gene plays a key role in receiving pain through the " special sodium gland ", or " Nav1.7 " for short, separating peripheral neurons.

With normal genes, these cells are neurons that sense wounds, respond to pain and report on this sensory brain.

In children with the above mutations, their brains do not receive any signal of pain. Genetic alterations in these children have disturbed the functioning of " Nav1.7 ", creating high pain tolerance.
