US officials backed Microsoft against Google

The New York Times reported that antitrust officials of the US Justice Department sided with Microsoft in a new war between the company and Google.

Accordingly, Justice Department officials voiced a request for a federal prosecutor to dismiss a complaint that Microsoft continued to take on Google's proprietary business. Information about this complaint has never been disclosed before.

The complaint claims that Google accused Microsoft of designing Windows Vista operating systems in a way that encourages users to abandon Google's search engine.

The world's number one Internet search service provider suggests that there should be a tightening of management measures for Microsoft activities.

Responding to the New York Times Justice Department officials said Thomas Barnett - Assistant to the federal court judge - sent a formal notice dismissing Google's complaint. This notice has been sent to the federal chief office throughout the United States.

The New York Times rated the move as a testament to the change in the Bush administration's outlook on the world's No. 1 software company. Now instead of trying to fight back, the Bush administration sought to protect Microsoft against antitrust lawsuits.

Representatives of Microsoft, Google and the Ministry of Justice currently have no official comment on the above information.
