Minister Goshi Hosono spoke at FNCA

Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Le Dinh Tien led a Vietnamese delegation to attend this conference.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Environment Minister and Secretary of State in charge of the prevention and handling of Japanese nuclear incidents Goshi Hosono called on FNCA member countries to strengthen information sharing and cooperation in dealing with Management of future nuclear incidents.

Hosono also said that Japan will soon announce the successful cooling of faulty reactors at Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant No. 1.

In addition, the country is considering radioactive decontamination measures in the affected areas and removing damaged reactors at the plant.

On this occasion, Minister Hosono thanked the FNCA member countries for their support to Japan after the March 11 earthquake and tsunami and the Fukushima nuclear crisis.

At the conference, delegates will hear the report of the host country of Japan on the Fukushima nuclear crisis as well as efforts to overcome the problem and ensure food safety at the risk of radioactive contamination.

In addition, delegates will also hear reports from FNCA member states on the policy of peaceful use of nuclear energy, while discussing measures to enhance information sharing and cooperation. Management of future nuclear incidents.
