Certainly the claims of Stephen Hawking, the British genius physicist about the destruction of the Earth in the near future or the existence of God in recent times still haunt many people. Most recently, Hawking had a conversation with Times magazine about his shocking statements.
>>> Theking of physics lazy to study when he was a child
>>> Stephen Hawking: How to create a time-traveling travel machine
>>> Hawking is shocking: Theology is not necessary!
>>> Hawking's declaration of "heavenly": God doesn't create the universe!
>>> Humans should find settlements outside of Earth?
Below, Khoahoc would like to post the entire content of this conversation:
Question 1: If God does not exist, then why does the idea of God's existence seem accepted by the whole world?
"People don't need God to explain the universe." - Stephen Hawking.
Question 2: Does the universe end? If yes, then what would it be?
- Current observations show that the universe is still expanding. It will continue to expand and become bigger and darker. Although, the universe will not have an end point however, it has a Big Bang explosion as the starting point. What if someone wanted to ask before the universe was formed? The main answer is that there is no so-called 'Big Bang'. It's like there's no point in the south more than Antarctica.
Question 3: Do you think that the civilization of humanity can last long enough for us to go further in the universe?
- I think our civilization still has great opportunities to survive until we can migrate to other planets of the solar system. However, the Solar System has no planets that can reside like Earth. So I don't know if we keep turning the Earth into a place that is no longer suitable for living, we can continue to exist or not. To ensure our long-term survival, we are forced to search for other galaxies, however, this takes more time. Perhaps we should hope that we can bear it until then.
Question 4: If you could talk to Einstein, what would you say?
- I will ask him: Why don't you believe the black hole? '. The equation in his theory of relativity also means that large stars or air masses in space can form black holes due to their own gravitational collapse. Einstein probably did not like this result because he thought that this process could be interrupted by explosions, hindering the formation of black holes. However, if there were no such explosions?
"I hope atomic energy can become a useful energy source" - S.Hawking.
- I hope atomic energy can become a useful energy source. Atomic energy provides an eternal, non-polluting energy source that does not create global climate change.
Question 6: Do you think that after we die, where will consciousness go?
I think the human brain is like a computer. Consciousness is like a software. You turn off the computer, the software also ends its operation. In theory, consciousness can be recreated in the nervous system, but this is extremely difficult. Because this requires all the information in one's memory.
Question 7: As a famous physicist, do you have any normal pleasures?
- I like music, from trendy pop songs, classical music to opera. I also love to play with my son F1 racing game.
Question 8: He thinks that his body prevents or helps him in his studies.
- Although unlucky to suffer from a motor-related illness, however, in other respects I am very lucky. I am fortunate to be able to do theoretical physics, an area in which physical disabilities do not interfere as much as other areas. I am also lucky because my books are very successful.
Question 9: Did you ever feel pressured when everyone expected you to be able to answer all the mysteries in life?
- Obviously, I can't answer all the problems in this life. Although there are many scholars or physicists who can answer problems related to the origins of the universe. However, this is not helpful in predicting human behavior. Because, it needs more equations to do it. I am absolutely no more than anyone in knowing how to make others happy, especially women.
Question 10: Do you think that one day people will explain all physical phenomena?
- I do not expect this, otherwise I will be unemployed soon .
