4 major goals of e-commerce development to 2010

On December 9, the Director of E-Commerce Department (Ministry of Trade) Nguyen Thanh Hung said that the e-commerce master plan for the 2006-2010 period has been officially approved under Decision 222- QD / TTg of the Prime Minister.

Accordingly, four major goals for e-commerce development by 2010 must be achieved: 60% of large enterprises include economic groups, systems of corporations . e-commerce applications, instruments can be a form of B2B transaction (between enterprises and businesses); 80% of small and medium enterprises apply e-commerce in two forms: B2B and B2C (business with customers); 10% of households participate in retail e-commerce types such as B2C and C2C (customers with customers); The fourth goal is to bring public services such as customs declaration, tax, quota . into electronic transactions.

Mr. Tran Thanh Hai, Deputy Director of E-Commerce Department, said that although the above 4 objectives are not really high because some countries in the region such as Thailand, Singapore, Brunei, Malaysia . are currently or have passed. through this level, but to achieve those goals, very high effort is required.

The solutions are focused to bring the four goals into reality: propaganda and training, improvement of legal documents system, provision of online services and shopping, technology development, increase strengthen international cooperation and support businesses in various forms.
