As you know, SafeMode mode is essential for the need to modify the system before hardware and soft errors. When entering this mode, most hardware applications are disconnected to allow you to capture system errors and fix them.

Every time you enter SafeMode, there is an inconvenience that you have to press F8 key to select boot mode from the Boot menu. An inconvenience to use, not to mention having to press F8 at the right time. With the following small tips, you will add SafeMode to the Windows startup menu so you can use it when needed.

First, right-click on the My Compu ter icon and select Properties . Then select Advanded . In the StartUp and Recovery section , select Settings to set up.

At the settings pane, click Edit to add SafeMode to the Boot menu by editing the Boot.ini file .

When the Boot.ini file has been opened, add the command line after multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (2) WINDOWS = "Safe Mode" / safeboot: minimal / sos / bootlog .

Note : you may not need the same type as the above command, you can copy from the command multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) WINDOWS = "Microsoft Windows XP Professional" / noexecute = optin / fastdetect (always available) and paste into the line below and change WINDOWS = "Microsoft Windows XP Professional" to WINDOWS = "Safe Mode" then add / safeboot: minimal / sos / bootlog to complete.

Thus your Boot.ini file will have the following format.

Then save the settings via the File menu> Save on notepad and close the notepad again.

Now, you choose the boot time from 30s to 10s or less if needed in Time to display list of operating systems . Click OK twice to return to Windows.

You restart the computer and the Boot menu has now changed. There will be a SafeMode menu located under the Windows XP Professional menu. Paste the SafeMode command below the command line to select SafeMode mode as an option to boot. If you do not need to enter SafeMode mode then after 30s (by default or by your setup options above), the system will go straight to Windows without going to SafeMode.
