The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued a letter guiding the preparation for teaching Informatics in 2007-2008. Accordingly, from the 2007-2008 school year, the Informatics subject will be taken into the main course of 11th grade high school.

Grade 10 will have 2 computer classes / week (including 21 computer room usage); Grade 11 has 1.5 periods / week (in which there are about 20 periods for using computer room).

Schools based on grades 10, 11 and number of classes need to use the computer room to calculate the number of computer rooms and the number of machines to be prepared.

In order to teach 11th grade Informatics, computers need to be able to run Pascal for DOS or Pascal for Windows software. It is necessary to review the computers that have been equipped in the past to prepare to be eligible for Grade 11 Informatics.

In addition, schools must arrange teachers of Informatics subject with IT major degree to be trained in pedagogy or graduated from Pedagogical University in two subjects, including Informatics subject, with sufficient quantity as required.

DoETs should urgently prepare and report the results to MoET before July 31, 2007.
