Dak Lak develops yew trees from grafted varieties

On this basis, the People's Committee of Dak Lak province decided to invest VND 600 million from scientific and technical capital to develop yew trees in the province.
During this rainy season, the VUSTA will bring 100 yew seedlings to grow in the Yew National Reserve, in the districts of Ea H'Leo, Krong Nang, and Krong Bum, Dak Lak province.
Dr. Tran Vinh affirmed: 'The yew plants we bred by grafting method grow very well in the nursery. Taking out in the field, especially in highland areas, the yew tree grows normally. I affirm that this yew tree is grown on both land and land. Genetically, the upper part of the graft is completely different from the yew tree in the reserve, it also flowers, the results are in the nursery '.
Yew is an ancient, endemic plant species in Vietnam and is found only in Dak Lak province. Due to the inability to regenerate in the wild and hunted down, the yew species are in danger of extinction. Therefore, the successful research and hybridization of yew seeds can contribute significantly to the conservation and development of this valuable plant.
