These two langurs are male, 2 years old, have been kept in captivity, taking care of the National Park (Cuc Phuong National Park) and Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park. Previously, officials at this center had to install electronic chips on the bodies of these 2 langurs to monitor living and integration as well as finding food in the natural environment. The center will also continue to collect data on this langur.

It is known that Ha Tinh black langur (international name is Trachypithecus hatinhensis ) is a rare species, it needs special protection in the World Red Book of the International Union for Conservation of Nature. This species was first found in the West Quang Binh limestone forest area. Although it is named Ha Tinh black langur, this species is not distributed in Ha Tinh province. In another survey in the mountainous area of Quang Tri province, a population of Ha Tinh black langur was also discovered.

The langurs live in groups of 2 - 15 individuals but sometimes up to 30 individuals. They are called 'con cung' by ethnic minorities of Van Kieu (in Quang Binh and Quang Tri) - meaning 'long-tailed black monkeys that live in caves'.
