Enterprise concerns about more security management costs

When viruses and dangerous software break out, measures to prevent information leakage during the deployment of converged IP networks become a top concern for executives.

According to a recent study by EIU (UK) and AT&T (USA), 26% of the 236 business managers in 50 countries participating in the survey admitted that security is the most concern. Meanwhile, only 23% rated the cost of implementation as the most worrying thing and 19% chose " investment for new equipment ".

62% of participants said they were likely to still establish IP networks in the next 3 years, although 63% admitted that the process of processing online customer data could adversely affect the security situation. Besides, mobile devices are being used more widely in the company, opening up many pathways to the network.

According to managers, security risks actually stem from employees in the enterprise. They believe that most attacks are caused by internal causes such as intentional sabotage, economic espionage or simply unintentional errors.

Some other threats such as online scams, with the trick of building a site like a commercial website to collect user names and passwords, will increase rapidly in many business organizations next time. DoS is also directing attacks to financial institutions with more sophisticated and precise measures. Businesses are becoming victims of cyber criminals who specialize in making money, not " curious tech-savvy boys " like before.

AT&T, which currently controls about 18-20% of network traffic, conducted an investigation to find a countermeasure soon before security issues spread. " Waiting for something to happen before acting is always too late, " said Kees Vos, an AT&T director.
