Instead, Intel will rename those chipsets into 3x Express. The specific name for each chipset product will depend on the specific features and position of the product in the market.

The business line - Intel vPro series - will be renamed to Q33 and Q35, while the gamers compatible with Intel Core 2 Extreme chips will be renamed to X38. With the integrated or non-integrated graphics chipset, it will still be called P and G - the P35 chipset does not include graphics, while the G35 and G33 are integrated with graphics processor.

The X38 chipset will support two x16 PCI Express 2.0, DDR2 800MHz or DDR 3 1,333MHz slots, 1,333MHz system bandwidth and support for HDCP Anti-rip system.

The G35 chipset will also be available in the third quarter of next year with support for DirectX 10, 800MHz DDR 2 or 1,066MHz DDR 3, and a 1,333MHz FSB system bandwidth. The G33 and P35 chipsets also have the same features as Q35.
