Launched the trial version of Opera Mini 4

Opera Software officially started the process of testing the latest version of a mobile web browser - Opera Mini 4.

Opera Mini 4 adds a number of features designed specifically for Nintendo Wii gaming systems. Users can now view the entire content of a web page in 'preview mode' (overview mode) and if necessary, zoom in on any area on the page.

When the user performs the Opera Mini magnification operation, they will automatically 'zoom in'. This solution makes the scrolling on the page soft and not jerky. The browser also displays a virtual mouse pointer to assist users in moving up or down or selecting a link. In addition Opera Mini also automatically resizes images and font sizes to minimize manipulation of the web page display.

Opera Software has announced that Opera Mini 4 is twice as fast as existing mobile web browsers. Developed on the Java platform, Opera Mini is compatible with almost every mobile device used worldwide and is completely free.
