The study was conducted for more than 1,000 adults, which assessed the link between exposure to information and eating habits. Participants were asked to complete the media usage questionnaire, from watching TV to reading newspapers and surfing the web. This information is analyzed by the research team along with drug use, lifestyle and diet. The results show that people who regularly update news have a better diet, so they are healthier.

The team hopes this finding will help health professionals better understand the benefits of the media in increasing people's awareness of health.'The next thing we need to do is assess the source of the information and consider the changes that the Internet brings to people, especially young people, about health topics' - Dr. Giovanni de Gaetano, Team leader, concludes.
