The first cracked 33,000-year-old skull found in Romania by miners in 1941 was a mystery that caused archaeologists a headache, but recent research has revealed the truth.

According to The Sun, new research shows that people from the Stone Age know how to use weapons to kill each other to scramble for land and food .

The cracked skull is 33,000 years old.

The researchers used 12 artificial skulls to simulate injuries, like skulls dating to 33,000 years. They experimented in many ways such as dropping from above, using bow and arrow . and the results showed that the Stone Age man was repeatedly attacked on the head with a hard object like a pestle.

The location of the fatal wound showed that the prehistoric man was in a face-to-face confrontation, with a left-handed opponent. This injury is not the result of an accident or injury after death.

Research shows that skull cracks are the cause of death . But only the skull was found, so it was unclear whether the Stone Age man suffered injuries on his body.
