In addition to phishing detection, Norton Confidential can also scan for Trojan programs, such as keylog programs. The software will conduct validation of the website by using SSL encryption technology to prevent hackers from faking SSL pages (often used to secure connections when performing secure transactions. high online).

Norton Confidential also has the ability to encrypt stored passwords and display warnings when references are sent to strange or illegal sites.

Symantec will provide a copy of Norton Confidential's Mac in October with similar functionality to the Windows version. Norton Confidential's price has not been announced yet.
