Symantec security patch in NetBackup
Symantec has just fixed a serious security bug in the Veritas NetBackup PureDisk application. According to the developer of this security bug, hackers can take advantage of deep computer spreads to hack in and gain control of the faulty systems.

Symantec discovered a security error in an internal product software source code test. The application developer has immediately released a warning to users through its official website.
However, security firm Secunia only classified security errors on an average level.
By default NetBackup PureDisk administration interface is fully accessible via SSL connection. Therefore, a malicious attacker can completely bypass all security authentication mechanisms and gain access to occupy the entire control of the application server.
Symantec has released a Maintenance Pack 1 update to fix the security problem. Users can download this update via its website.
