Consecutive two powerful earthquakes of 5.2 and 6 degrees were recorded in Sichuan province, southwest China, causing at least 12 people to die and 134 injured.

Rescue workers are still racing against time to look for victims who have been filled after two earthquakes in northwest China today, when the death toll has risen to 89.

On August 14, a strong aftershock, up to 5.3 Richter, rocked the outskirts of Tabriz, the third largest city and capital of East Azerbaijan province in northwestern Iran.
