Wi-Fi technology for data transfer 'super fast'

Photron in Singapore claims they are producing Ultra Spectral Modulation (USM) chips, reaching a transmission rate of 100 bits per second for every wideband Hz and very low power consumption. New technology uses FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) in hardware platform.

Photron in Singapore claims they are producing Ultra Spectral Modulation (USM) chips, reaching a transmission rate of 100 bits per second for every wideband Hz and very low power consumption.

New technology uses FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) in hardware platform. Therefore, USM operates more than 25 times more effectively than the leading 3G technology in the US, now EV-DO. Larry Garcia, senior technical advisor of the company Aerotelesis in Los Angeles (USA), said they will deploy USM technology in the future.

Patron does not describe in detail about USM, but just said that this is a logical combination of phase modulation, amplitude modulation and ideal digital filter. In addition, they did not mention the scope of USM's activities. Although compared with EV-DO technology, experts believe that USM's coverage will be much more limited.

Besides, the statement about USM is similar to what XG Technology said about xMax last year (7.4 Mbit / sec / MHz / Watt) even though it was introduced in a different form.
