Young children should not drink lots of fruit juice?

If you want to avoid type 2 diabetes, you should add vegetables and fruits at a young age and avoid fruit juice, a recent study in the US shows.

Eating at least 3 fruits a day or 1 spinach, both curly or green leaves will help reduce your risk of diabetes when you grow up.

'This is one of the most effective ways to prevent disease. However, it will not make sense if the surrounding environment has many risk factors and you are overweight. It is only part of the 'campaign to prevent disease' , Dr. Lydia A. Bazzano, University of Community Medicine and Tropical Diseases (New Orleans state, USA), said.

Ms. Bazzano and her colleagues analyzed data on the diet of 4,529 people with diabetes mellitus 2. They divided into 5 groups based on the need to eat fruits and vegetables as well as the amount of juice to be taken daily.

They found that adding 3 servings of fruits and vegetables a day would reduce the risk of diabetes by 2% while eating just 1 green leafy vegetables would reduce the risk by 9%. However, if you drink an extra cup of fruit juice when you are small, the risk of developing diabetes will increase by 18%.

According to the explanation of researchers who play a role in increasing the risk of diabetes in fruit juice is sugar.

This finding has shown the caution and necessity to replace fruit juice with vegetables to improve human health. It is recommended that every 100g of fruit juice equals 1 part of the fruit in the meal.
