A Sony PlayStation attack virus appears

Security firm Panda Software warned that Sony's PlayStation Portable handheld game device could also be attacked by malicious code.

Panda said the malicious code proved to be capable of attacking Sony's portable gaming device through the security flaw that was released online.

All versions of Sony PlayStation Portable with the ability to browse TIFF files can be infected with malicious code. The main reason Sony's device became a victim of virus was a buffer overflow security error that existed in the device driver software.
