Alexa opens the search list

The Alexa Web Search Platform Beta essentially allows developers to penetrate the company's 4 billion web pages to select data and create their own search engine.

Amazon.com's decision to expand the infrastructure of Alexa website evaluation system will enable people to build cheap search engines. Developers will have the opportunity to accelerate the development of search applications with Alexa detection, storage and processing technology. Charges are collected based on capacity usage and bandwidth.

" Many entrepreneurs are embarrassed by the lack of information and an accurate assessment tool. Right now, at a lower cost than an iPod, they can penetrate the entire search field and start self-regulating adjust to the will, "said Geoffrey Mack, Alexa's production director.

This idea has been tested by several companies since 2000 but failed. Those programs failed right at the dotcom crisis and then there was no market for search depth or advertising services through search.

According to Danny Sullivan, editor of Search Engine Watch (USA), there are also some providers offering free Alexa services like Rollyo and Gigablast.
