"During this 10-day anniversary, an observatory called Imam Sadeq (an Iranian leader) will be inaugurated as the country's first space observatory ," the minister. Defense Ahmad Vahidi announced.
Mr. Ahmad Vahidi added that the opening of an air space base is also part of his agency's schedule.

Mr Vahidi said Iran would also launch the probe with live animals into space if all goes well.
On January 15, the head of the Iranian Space Organization Hamid Fazeli said the country would soon bring a monkey into space to prepare for the country's plan to bring people into space.
Iran used to bring some animals into space, including rats, turtles and worms, but the last attempt to bring the monkey to space in 2011 failed, according to Mehr.
Iran is one of the 24 founding members of the UN Commission on the Use of Aerospace Peace, which was established in 1959.
