Judge Rudi Brewster of the San Diego district court dismissed all of Alcatel-Lucent's claims in the case file. This verdict means that the first instance trial expected to take place on March 19 will be canceled.

The verdict was officially announced at the end of last Thursday (March 1) - exactly one week after the world's No. 1 software company suffered its first failure by Alcatel-Lucent in a series of related lawsuits. to copyright issues. As a result, Microsoft will have to spend 1.52 billion dollars to compensate for the loss of the French telecommunications equipment manufacturer.

Alcatel-Lucent announced it will continue to appeal.

Alcatel-Lucent spokesman said: " We have our own arguments to protect our views. We fully believe we will win this lawsuit ."
