The Dutch company called Mars One has just announced that 1,000 volunteers have joined the 'one go back' plan to their Mars in 2023.

According to Yahoo's news site, Mars One recently revealed projects to bring four astronauts to Mars in 2023, and then every four years to send another four to the red planet.

All in order to turn Mars into a new settlement of humanity.

Mars One representative said that more than 1,000 volunteers sent an e-mail to the company's website to register to join the mission to conquer extraterrestrial planets. The process of selecting the first astronauts for this ambitious mission is expected to begin next year.

In the recruitment announcement, Mars One has made it clear that Mars takeover trips will take place in one direction, meaning that volunteers will move to the red planet and live here until they die.

Mars One stressed that they have now become a non-profit organization. The company hopes to finance the mission to bring settlers on Mars through donations from organizations, businesses and individuals as well as by conducting a type of 'media event'. Reality TV show about the selection process as well as training of their volunteer astronauts.

The Dutch company is now backed by Gerard 't Hooft - a physicist who won a Nobel Prize and Paul Romer - the co-founder of the popular TV show Big Brother.

Arno Wielders, co-founder and technical director of Mars One said: 'Getting people to Mars is my dream for the past 20 years. Obviously, I'm not alone. We have received emails from more than 1,000 people in more than 50 different countries.

A total of people in 37 countries bought our goods, expressing their support for Mars One. Regardless of origin, everyone is optimistic about this prospective event. We believe that it will bring people on Earth a little closer together. '
