MSI has built-in Skype functionality into the board
Circuit board manufacturer MSI has said it has partnered with Skype to integrate Skype functions into the Intel P35 board (codename).
Board manufacturer MSI has just announced that it has partnered with Skype to integrate Skype functions into the Intel P35 board (its new "Bearlake" code name).
New functions allow simultaneous voice and Internet voice calls (Skype) on the same board simultaneously.
Specifically, the MSI P35 Platinum board has a built-in SkyTel card module along with Realtek's ALC880T HD audio codecs that allow standard phones to connect to PCs.
This capability will enable both Skype calls and traditional phone calls. Performing conversations on traditional phones can still be done even if the computer is in the off state.
