The head protruding object resembles the Loch Ness lake monster in Albania

Animals reveal heads and necks while rising above the lake in Albania and disappear without trace after a few seconds.

The large creature reached its head and neck above the water in the middle of the Great Prespa lake near the village of Pretor in Albania, Mirror on December 29 reported. A group of reporters led by retired geography professor Sima Jonoski conducted a lake survey but found no other trace of the animal in the area where it was seen.

While many locals believe this is a legendary monster, some others speculate it is a giant catfish."I remember a group of scuba diving fishermen looking for drowned children who saw giant catfish. They were so scared that they had to stop the search. I think it was one of the catfish that fishermen once met." Jonoski, the first person to swim through the Great Prespa Lake in 1970, said.

Large Prespa Lake and Little Prespa Lake nearby are the two highest tectonic lakes in the Balkan, at 853 meters. There are many legends of monsters living in several lakes around the world, including Nessie in Loch Ness and Morag lakes in Lake Loch Morar, both of which are in Scotland.
