The island of Fernando de Noronha, off the coast of Brazil is a strange island filled with deformed cow toad (curling toad, scientific name Rhinella schneideri).

This toad appeared some decades ago and quickly took over the island.But after coming here, their bodies have strange changes.In particular, more than half of the toads here have deformities in the arms, legs or eyes

Although the number of toads is quite large, 20% of them are blind.This seriously affects their foraging.

Not seeing so these mutated animals are forced to sit and wait for their prey to come to them and eat everything that crawls on them.

Consequently, they cannot grow normally, impair fertility.However, because there are no enemies on the island, cow toad can still thrive.

In addition to being blind, the toad on the island also suffers from a lack of fingers or toes. However, no one knows the reason why toad cows living on the island have such high defects.Currently, experts are trying to find the answer to this problem.
