The US Aerospace Agency (NASA) announced yesterday that it will not attempt to contact Spirit's self-propelled probe on Mars, and said it may have "died" in the cold winter on the planet. red.
' NASA will end efforts to contact Spirit, the Mars probe that we contacted last time on March 22 , 2010,' NASA's AFP notification guide. This self-propelled device was designed to operate for three months on Mars, but it survived for more than six years after landing on the surface of Mars in January 2004.

Last year NASA announced Spirit - a 180-kilogram and six-wheeled vehicle - was damaged by sinking into the sand in the hole in Troy's southern hemisphere. Every attempt to rescue does not help Spirit escape the sand. In addition, sand covers the solar panels, making it impossible to charge the device, AFP said.
NASA scientists once hoped that after Mars's winter passed, Spirit would receive enough light from the sun to charge the battery, but the situation did not go as they expected. Since the heating system does not receive enough electricity to operate, many of the Spirit's important parts fail in a cold environment.
Meanwhile , NASA is focusing its attention on making new Mars probes, called Curiosity, and will be launched in November.
