Yahoo is working on expanding its online music service with more than 400,000 profitable songs, in hopes of providing users with more reliable sources than sites that offer lyrics but do not have other copyrights.

For years, there have been many websites offering lyrics but most have been sued because they are not approved by the producers or the main authors. In addition, these lyrics are often flawed, reducing the accuracy of the lyrics.

Meanwhile, Yahoo's new service is provided based on its agreement with copyright providers. These are the official version (lyrics) so the accuracy is guaranteed to be at the highest level.

Under the agreement, Yahoo will share the profits earned from advertising for music lyrics copyright providers. Nearly 100 music publishers have collaborated to provide lyrics to Yahoo, including many "heavyweights" such as BMG Music Publishing, EMI Music Publishing, Sony / ATV Music Publishing, Universal Music Publishing Group and Warner. / Chappell Music.
