In 2013, Vietnam hosted the Asian robocon

After the robocon exam season in Hong Kong this year, Vietnam will host the next Asia-Pacific robocon final round next year.

Mr. Pham Viet Tien, Head of Science Department - Vietnam Television said before the Robocon Vietnam finals 2012.

"Vietnam will be the host of the innovative robot competition for students of countries in the Asia-Pacific region after this year's competition in Hong Kong," Tien said.

The rules of the competition to the year will be more difficult than the previous competitions such as breaking the field of the stadium about 100m ² long existed, no longer the participation of people on the competition floor, invite some teams in European countries attended.

However, the organizers have not exactly set the theme, time, and venue for the international finals next year.

The theme of the 2012 Vietnam robot creation competition is "Peng On Dai Gat" , meaning to "Peace and Prosperity". This year, Vietnam has selected 32 teams to participate in the final round in Ho Chi Minh City from May 7 to May 13, selecting the champion team to attend the international competition in August.
