Intel stopped producing most of the 90nm chip platform

News from Taiwanese motherboard manufacturers said Intel will stop producing most of the 90nm chips later this year to switch to the 65nm technology platform.

The plan is in the framework of a transition to a 45nm production line in 2007 and 32nm in 2009 by Intel. The source said only three 90nm chip models were retained.

For example, for Pentium D models, most chip models are "erased," only Pentium D 820 remains.

Finally, the Celeron D series, including the Celeron D 315, 320, 325, 330, 335 and 340, will all be stopped in the fourth quarter of this year.
