The new technology called "Photosynth", allows users to combine personal photos with thousands of photos collected on the Internet to create a detailed 3D object that can be viewed at every corner.

Photosynth is the first product of the Microsoft Live Labs division, which was established in January 2006 in a framework of cooperation between Microsoft Research and Microsoft online Services Group to create new technologies.

Photosynth started out as a collaborative research project ("Photo Tourism") between Microsoft and Washington University. This project combines new techniques and has been implemented in the field of computers, image creation, image browsing, comparison . to create 3D photo perspective collections.
