Photographer Joshua Thomas, in Texas, took this optical phenomenon in the area of Red River, New Mexico, where the last few days were at a negative temperature.
The cause of the formation of colored circles, arcs and points in the sky is the interaction between sunlight or the moon with ice crystals suspended in the atmosphere. Ice crystals reflect and refract light in some way under cold weather conditions.
According to UPI, right after the halo, the magic will appear within 24 hours.Christmas is the common name for the phenomenon of water escaping from clouds in the form of liquid (rain), and solid form (sleet, hail, snow), to distinguish from the phenomenon of water separated from the air ( dew, frost hook, frost ice).
Viral Spell said that ice circles appear when the icy Arctic winds continue to blow across the United States over the past few days, causing temperatures in many cities to drop below freezing.
