Vietnamese domain name is officially deployed

From November 1 to the end of January 15, 2007, Vietnam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC) began to prioritize the registration of Vietnamese level 2 domain names under .vn for organizations that already have a traditional equivalent domain granted in advance December 31, 2006.

VNNIC's representative said that every traditional domain name will be registered for free with 1 Vietnamese domain.

Organizations wishing to enter Vietnamese domain name registration requests via the web address: tenmientiengviet.vnnic.vn.

At the end of the priority period, VNNIC will review on the basis of the list of registered and published results at vnnic.net.vn. After the priority period expires, the Center will provide free registration of Vietnamese domain names (including second-level domain names under the national domain .vn and third-level names below level 2 according to administrative boundaries) in Vietnamese) comes with the traditional domain that was granted.

During a period of more than 1 year of testing, VNNIC has granted over 5,000 Vietnamese-language domains to users. " All these domains will be canceled.
