Joost will release close beta later this month

Joost, Skype's Internet television subsidiary, said it had signed a number of cooperation agreements with several new digital content providers, including CNN.

The company also plans to expand the audience's reach later this month, allowing any test user to download the software with the movie viewing function on Joost's website.

' This is a way for you to climb the slope of a peer-to-peer network application, and that software is like a nice shovel, ' said Yvette Alberdingk Thijm, Joost's content executive.

Joost's activities focus on distributing peer-to-peer TV shows or user-to-user shows over the Internet. Audience selects a channel via the software interface on the screen similar to using a remote control. Just like regular TV channels, it is a free television service for audiences and supported by advertisers.

With the new agreement, signed with Time Warner, Joost will provide some popular TV movies such as "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" and "Robot Chicken", along with the famous talk show "Larry King Live" and CNN's other interview news program.

Also according to Joost's announcement, a number of other TV shows were released on this occasion, namely:

- "Charlie's Angels" video series and Sony's "Starsky & Hutch" released.

- Sports program with a corner of the swimsuit produced by Time Warner.

- National Cup competition, a remarkable US sporting event.

- Some episodes of TV series "Transformers" and "GI Joe." Hasbro Inc. manufacturer

Joost previously signed a number of agreements with Viacom, Warner Music Group and CBS. Along with experimental advertising contracts signed with a number of companies such as Coca-Cola, Nike, Microsoft, Procter & Gamble, Sony and Visa.

Joost is now considered one of the brightest candidates for the Internet's main video and television service provider, competing with YouTube and BitTorrent.
