On September 19, Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) and ATH / Acasia (established by 6 large telecommunications companies in the ASEAN region) will sign an agreement to make VNPT become a member of Acasia and main the opening of service provision in Vietnam.

With Acasia service, customers in Vietnam or anywhere in ASEAN region can use the services of major telecom companies in the region.

One of the highlights of how to provide services under a cooperation contract with Acasia is that the services are provided in one OSS form, including one-stop order and one-stop payment. With this form, customers only need to go to a service provider to be provided with all kinds of services at all end points of customers, regardless of where the endpoint is.

Therefore, after joining Acasia, VNPT will invest and build a service node in Vietnam according to Acasia's technical standards. VNPT's Node will connect to other members' nodes to coordinate the provision of one-stop service.

After joining Acasia, VNPT will coordinate with partners in Acasia to provide products and services including: data transmission services (Acasia Private Line, Acasia Frame Relay, Acasia ATM; Acasia IP VPN); value-added services (Acasia IP VPN Class of Service; Acasia Flexi for Frame Relay); Support services (Acasia Dial IP VPN; Acasia View; Acasia Router Management).

By this investment, VNPT will become an shareholder of Acasia, with the number of shares equal to the number of shares of other members. Also from here, VNPT will participate in the level playing field, integration and contribute to the common development of ASEAN regional telecommunications market.
