Last year at IDF, Intel's carriers and users were introduced to the project to release a new microprocessor, Cedar Mill, designed for desktop systems and technology use. 65 nanometer.

The world's largest processor manufacturer Intel has also announced it will release soon Celeron D, the microprocessor manufactured after the Cedar Mill solution and will also be engraved with 65 nanometer technology.

Just like 'Prescott' based on Celeron D, this new model will work on 533Mhz Bus and support 64-bit machines. The new Celeron D processor will provide 512KB L2 cache, doubling the cache of other current 'members' in the Celeron D. 'family'.

Both Celeron Cedar Mill and Pentium 4 Cedar Mill are scheduled to be released in the second quarter of this year and will have two versions: Celeron D 352 (3.2Ghz) and Celeron D (3.33GHz). Pentium 4 Cedar Mill will be available in the market first with the name P4 671 at speeds up to 3.8GHz. P4 671 is the same as the previous models released in line 6x1, including Intel's EIST technology (Extended SpeedStep Technology).
